The Terenne Chronicles: Marganard and Summerstrand
This is the first book of a trilogy introducing the five heroes and their fight against malign magic.
It is a "stripped back" fantasy story. There are Adepts, Sorcerers and Mages, along with spells, wands and magical weapons. But no faeries, trolls, dwarves, undead, elves, or fantastic beats. It is a parallel medieval world where magick is practiced - both for good and evil.
But is it all as it seems? After all, magick is an illusion. Or is it?

Collaborative Partnerships
I have a number of projects under way, as explained on this website. For these I am seeking possible collaborators - publisher (Bresset's Wartime), collaborators (historical), and illustrator (fantasy and children's books). Click on a button below and look for the coloured text.
About me
I am a professor who published twelve textbooks and over 100 articles and papers during my academic career. Most of these have been in collaboration with other authors. Since retiring I have turned my hand to writing fiction.
I seek to craft high-energy narratives that compel readers to keep turning pages. By exploring diverse genres, I hope to stay creatively sharp and constantly push my limits. Ultimately, my work is driven by enthusiasm, and I aim to pass that on to you.
So many ideas, so little time...
